The Honeywell 4800i Industrial 2D Area Imager is the first hand held area image reader powered by Adaptus™ imaging technology. Whether your application is reading conventional linear bar codes or tomorrow's 2D matrix symbologies, the IT4800 can capture them all today. The 4800i will solve all of your signature capture, OCR, and digital photography application requirements. Moreover, the 4800i can be used in a wide range of applications from circuit board manufacture to package delivery tracking. Bar codes, images and signature capture can also provide positive proof of delivery.
The 4800i was designed to be extra tough to meet the challenges of industrial applications. Full shock-absorbing rubber protects the imager from dozens of 6.5 feet (2 meter) drops to concrete. In addition to an IP54 rating the 4800i is backed by an industry-best 5-year warranty.
The 4800i (SR) Standard Range is designed to read 2D bar codes over 10 mil in size.
The 4800i (SF) Special Focus is designed to read 2D bar codes under 10 mil in size.
In addition to this new focus, the entire family of IT4800i area imagers now have a
new and improved aiming system. Both the Standard Range (SR) and Special Focus (SF)
optical configurations now have a bright green aimer that offers superior contrast to the red
illumination.
