The 4820 from Hand Held Products’ feature Bluetooth® Class II v1.2 technology providing 10 meters (33 feet) of read range and utilizes adaptive frequency hopping for improved performance in existing RF environments. Class 2 Bluetooth radios, like those used in the IT4820 and its 2020 base, are low power (2.5 mw) devices.

FIPS is a United States (US) government standard established by the National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST). “140-2” refers to the specific series of security requirements that must be met by an
encryption module for wireless data transfer. United States (US) Federal Government Departments (such
as VA Hospitals, the Department of Defense, etc.) that collect, store, transfer, share and disseminate “sensitive, but not classified” information must use FIPS-validated cryptographic
modules for the protection of wirelessly transmitted data.

Ease of Integration IT4820 imager comes equipped with a full feature set of tools to provide easy setup and integration into new or existing applications. These features are: JPOS and OPOS compliant drivers, data formatting, and data editing. Additionally, all common interfaces are built into the IT2020 base and Quick View and Visual Menu setup tools support these new imagers.
Interaces Include Keyboard Wedge, USB, TTL level RS-232, wand emulation, TTL level Serial Wedge, and IBM 46XX retail terminals.
